Entertainer Steve Harvey has teamed up with L A Weight Loss Centers, Inc., one of the world's fastest growing weight loss programs in the country, to lose some extra pounds and is giving his listeners a chance to do the same with the "Brand New You Weight Loss Challenge." The challenge is set to kick-off on Harvey's morning radio show on January 2, 2006 with a call out to participants in five of his 13 affiliate markets. Twenty-five listeners from across the country will be given the opportunity to join Harvey in this weight loss challenge and given the opportunity to win a grand prize of $10,000.

On specially designated days, segments of Harvey's radio program will be dedicated to talk with the challenge's participants, as well on their progress.

The L A Weight Loss Director of Behavior Education and Nutrition Dara Steiger will join Steve Harvey on air from time to time to offer expert advice to assist with the progress. She will also be available to take calls from listeners who may have questions about achieving weight loss goals.

Stations participating in the "Brand New You Weight Loss Challenge" include: WBLS (New York), WDAS (Philadelphia), WMXD (Detroit), KPRS (Kansas City) and WSRB (Chicago).
